Introduction to Learning & Training
When you are making your choices the main routes on offer are:
- Foundation Learning
- General Qualifications, for example GCSE or A Level courses
- An Apprenticeship
- Work-related qualifications, including Diploma courses
All qualifications are grouped into different levels - so you can see where you are now and what sort of courses you might aim for next. Look at our qualifications and levels chart which gives you examples of qualifications at each level.

To search for 14-19 courses in your local area, look at UCAS Progress.The online area prospectus is the place to find out about all the learning opportunities provided in Walsall, whether these are offered by schools, college, training providers or another organisation.

Plus don't forget the September Offer
The September Offer is a promise that you will be offered a suitable place in learning by the end of September in the year you finish your education. This offer applies both at the end of year 11 or year 12. Talk to an Adviser from the IAG Service in Walsall if you would like to find out more about the September Offer.
