Introduction to Learning & Training
When you are making your choices the main routes on offer are:
- General Qualifications, for example GCSE or A Level courses
- An Apprenticeship
- Work-related qualifications
If you are not ready to take a qualification yet, your school or college will offer you a individual learning course to help you to improve your maths and English skills or to get you ready for employment, further learning or to give you independent living skills.
All qualifications are grouped into different levels - so you can see where you are now and what sort of courses you might aim for next. The OfQual website gives more details.
To search for 14-19 courses in your local area, look at UCAS Progress. The online area prospectus is the place to find out about all the learning opportunities provided in Walsall, whether these are offered by schools, college, training providers or another organisation.
